Honoring My Astrological Heritage

Hello, I’m Sim – Astrologer, Listener, Motivator.

I’m originally from Liverpool in the UK, and for as long as I can remember, astrology has been a part of my life. My mother was an astrologer, and I grew up watching her draw charts by hand at the kitchen table, surrounded by books, notes, and ephemerides. When she died, she left me her library and her love for this ancient tradition. It was a language that shaped me long before I knew how deeply it would become my own.

Learning Through Life

For thirty years I worked in the corporate world, travelling internationally, leading teams, managing negotiations, and meeting people from all walks of life. It was an education in human nature. As Noel Tyl once said, to become a better astrologer, don’t just study astrology – study life. That was my education. Those years taught me how to listen, how to read a room, how to understand what someone isn’t quite saying.

An Integrated Approach

My approach to astrology is rooted in the rich lineage of traditional practice, laced with a modern psychological perspective. Blending the old and the new brings clarity and structure together with emotional insight and depth. This combination makes it possible to uncover patterns that speak not only to potential and challenge but to the deeper layers of the self: the parts we hide, the gifts we doubt, and the truths we may not yet have been ready to face.

Each reading is different, but they all share a common aim: to offer an experience that resonates, touches, and uplifts. This is ultimately why I do this work. The fusion of precision and empathy, intellect and intuition. This is what I care about most. The gift of connection.

Tradition, Technique, and Mentorship

The rise of online training has allowed me to study with internationally respected astrologers. I have studied intensively at Kepler College in the United States, widely recognised as a leading institution in the field. I gained Practitioners level certification in horary astrology at the School of Traditional Astrology in the UK, and studied relationship astrology at the Centre for Relationships and Astrology in Dublin. I also mentored with Carol Taylor, a former head of the Faculty of Astrological Studies in the UK.

Life Coaching

In addition to my work as an astrologer, I am also a certified life coach (Academy of Coaching Excellence, Prague, 2018). Coaching complements astrology in a natural way. It grounds the symbolism in real-life action and accountability. This fusion brings clarity not only to what is happening, but to what you can do about it.

A winding path

I have an Aries Sun, a Sagittarius Moon, and Uranus rising in Libra, so life was never going to be routine. After university, I drifted for a while, working as a door-to-door salesman, a dairy farmer in France, and an English teacher in Japan. A friend invited me to Prague for a weekend in the early 1990s, and more than thirty years later, I’m still here. I enjoy cooking, gardening, playing the piano, and a glass of good red wine. Golf is a lifelong passion. I’m the proud father of twin sons, both at university, and a teenage daughter.

At a time when my life seemed completely chaotic and directionless, Sim entered my life in the most unexpected way. Sim asked me to write a reference for his website, and I'm more than happy to do so. I received a reading with Sim as a gift. He acknowledged that my chart isn't easy, which didn’t surprise me, as I put on a brave face to succeed in my career while feeling like there’s a constant storm inside. Sim offered his astro-coaching services, and after attending four or five sessions, I can highly recommend them. I've had a coach at work before, but this is so much better. The process is deeply personalized, rooted in an understanding of who I am and what I need. It leverages astrological timing, helping me know when to channel my energy effectively—and just as importantly, when not to.

I went to Sim with my adult daughter. We are very close, but we are argue about everything and it's tiring. I wasn't sure what to expect from an astrologer as it was my first time. Sim explained how our basic needs and approaches to life differ, and where we trigger each other. It was humbling to feel so opened up, but it really helped.

A friend recommended Sim to me, and although I've had my chart read before and knew what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Sim brings a warm, human touch and a great sense of humor to his readings. He listens and connects, and I felt at ease to open up and discuss things which I normally keep to myself.

Having studied astrology myself, I knew what to expect from our conversation, but I was still amazed by Sim’s preparation, depth of interest, and wide range of knowledge. Now, whenever I need clarity on a particular situation, I turn to Sim. I am also happy to refer clients from my therapy practice to him.
