Honoring My Astrological Heritage

I’m Sim, a second-generation astrologer from Liverpool, UK. I grew up with astrology and remember watching my mum create charts by hand in the kitchen, often during the night. I inherited her insomnia, her love of astrology, and when she passed in 2013, a large collection of books. After 30 years in a corporate environment, I needed a change. It was time to return to my roots.

I utilise both traditional and modern astrological techniques to promote understanding and self-awareness. My approach is practical, down-to-earth, and people-centred, and I am known as someone who communicates in an effective and friendly way. While astrology can be complex, it beautifully conveys something ultimately very simple. The essence of my work lies in finding the right words to touch another human being in a meaningful way.

Continuous Learning

Astrologers never stop learning. Formally, I trained at Kepler College in the USA, earning certifications in chart interpretation and forecasting. I mentored with Carole Taylor in the UK and studied relationship astrology at the Centre for Relationships and Astrology in Dublin. I hold a Practitioner’s Level Horary Certificate from the School of Traditional Astrology in the UK.

Certified Life Coach

In addition to my work as an astrologer, I am also certified as a life coach (Academy of Coaching Excellence, Prague – 2018). The fusion of astrology and coaching is exciting and represents a natural evolution in my practice.

A Glimpse into My Personal Life

I have an Aries Sun, a Sagittarius Moon and Uranus on my Libra ascendant. I was a cellist, a dairy farmer in France and an English teacher in Japan before I came to Prague in the early 1990s. I came for a weekend and stayed for 30 years. A career in international sales meant a lot of time on planes and in hotels, but also the chance to meet people from all walks of life. I enjoy cooking and a glass of red wine. I’m a golfer, though not a very good one, and I play the piano. Last but not least, I’m the proud father of three wonderful kids—twin boys in their 20s and a teenage daughter.

I am based in Prague, where I have lived for 30 years, and give face-to-face readings near to Vršovické náměstí. I also work extensively on Zoom. Readings are recorded and sent to you. I am a native English speaker, but also give readings in Czech.

At a time when my life seemed completely chaotic and directionless, Sim entered my life in the most unexpected way. Sim asked me to write a reference for his website, and I'm more than happy to do so. I received a reading with Sim as a gift. He acknowledged that my chart isn't easy, which didn’t surprise me, as I put on a brave face to succeed in my career while feeling like there’s a constant storm inside. Sim offered his astro-coaching services, and after attending four or five sessions, I can highly recommend them. I've had a coach at work before, but this is so much better. The process is deeply personalized, rooted in an understanding of who I am and what I need. It leverages astrological timing, helping me know when to channel my energy effectively—and just as importantly, when not to.

I went to Sim with my adult daughter. We are very close, but we are argue about everything and it's tiring. I wasn't sure what to expect from an astrologer as it was my first time. Sim explained how our basic needs and approaches to life differ, and where we trigger each other. It was humbling to feel so opened up, but it really helped.

A friend recommended Sim to me, and although I've had my chart read before and knew what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Sim brings a warm, human touch and a great sense of humor to his readings. He listens and connects, and I felt at ease to open up and discuss things which I normally keep to myself.

I was introduced to Sim by a friend during a time when I needed guidance on a relationship and help resolving a specific situation. I wanted to fully understand what that moment had to offer in order to make the best possible decision. Having studied astrology myself, I knew what to expect from our conversation, but I was still amazed by Sim’s preparation, depth of interest, and wide range of knowledge. Now, whenever I need clarity on a particular situation, I turn to Sim. I am also happy to refer clients from my therapy practice to him.
